Transferred to Hartford after playing two seasons at Eastern Michigan. SOPHOMORE YEAR (2013-14): Appeared in 26 games at Eastern Michigan, averaging 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per contest … had 28 assists and 10 steals … made his lone start of the season against Concordia (Nov. 8), passing for a season-high four assists in the win … scored a season-high seven points in the win over Rochester College (Jan. 4) … pulled down four boards, a season-best, against both Cleveland State (Nov. 18) and Ohio (Jan. 25). FRESHMAN YEAR (2012-13): Appeared in 34 games as a rookie, starting in 22 … averaged 4.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game … converted on 34.4 percent (53-of-154) shots taken on the season … posted a career-high 17 points against Oakland (Dec. 22) … handed out a career-best eight assists against Miami (Jan. 19). GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL: Played for Hall of Fame coach Fred Johnson at Greensboro Day School … as a senior, was a PACIS (Piedmont Athletic Conference of Independent Schools) All-Conference selection and MVP of the Pizza Hut Invitational … averaged 10.1 points and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 52 percent from the field and 88 percent from the charity stripe … led Greensboro Day School to the NCISAA 3A State Championship game … father, Frank Ross, scored more than 1,900 points as a collegian at American University and was inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame … he was drafted in 1987 … grandfather, Sam Key, was a point guard at Western Michigan (1955-59) and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 1959.
