A four-year member of the varsity basketball team at The Colony High School … during his senior season, averaged 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to lead his team to a 30-6 overall record … shot 52 percent from the floor as a senior … as a junior, averaged nearly 18 points per outing during the postseason to lead The Colony to an appearance in the title game of the 4A Regional Championship … tabbed to the District 1-4A Second Team as a junior after averaging 15.8 points and 8.1 rebounds per game to lead The Colony to a 23-13 record … was also named All-Region by the 4A Division …helped lead his team to a district championship as well as the Region 1-4A championship in 2009-10, his sophomore season …  played AAU for Deron Williams Elite where he helped the team capture the 2011 national championship in Las Vegas.
