Hawks Drop 7-0 Result at Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The University of Hartford women's tennis team resumed its fall schedule with a road matchup against the Providence College Friars last Saturday. The Hawks fell to the Friars, 7-0, in Providence.
 
Junior Katina Zampas won a pair of games in each of her sets at the No. 2 singles position before falling, 6-2, 6-2, to Maria Bernardez.
 
In the No. 5 slot, sophomore Christie Greenberg also picked up four games over two sets. Greenberg dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Providence's Taylor Ahlborn.
 
Hartford was set to host Siena for a dual match October 3. However, the match was postponed due to weather and moved to October 10 at 2 p.m. The next action for the Hawks comes October 5 when the Bryant Bulldogs come to West Hartford for a dual match.
