Women's Tennis Concludes 2012 Season at America East Championship

FLUSHING, N.Y.—The University of Hartford women's tennis team wrapped up their 2012 season with a 4-0 loss to Albany in the consolation round of the America East Tennis Championship Saturday.

The Hawks battled at the No. 2 doubles slot as the tandem of Katina Zampas and Jessica Galik trailed, 7-8, when their match was suspended. Albany earned the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 3 prior to Zampas and Galik reaching a conclusion.

In singles play, the Great Danes pulled out the match with wins in the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 matches.

The other three matches went unfinished due to the conclusion of the team match.
