HAMDEN, Conn. – After waiting an extra week to start the season due to inclement weather last weekend, the University of Hartford women's tennis team got its 2012-13 schedule underway at the Quinnipiac Invitational this weekend.
 
The Hawks picked up a head-to-head win in “B” Doubles as sophomore Christie Greenberg teamed with freshman Colleen Beck to pick up an 8-2 victory in a consolation match.
 
Beck also took four games from her opponent from host Quinnipiac in her first collegiate singles match before falling, 6-2, 6-2.
 
The Hawks return to the court Saturday, Sept., 22 when they host Hofstra in West Hartford.
