HAMDEN, Conn – The University of Hartford Hawks topped the Quinnipiac Bobcats in a mid week non-league matchup Tuesday evening (25-21, 25-22, 26-24). Seniors Sareeta Nethersole and Maya Louis led the Hawks with their offensive performances at the net.
Nethersole led the offensive attack with 12 kills while freshman Katy Henchy and Louis followed with seven apiece. Louis recorded her seven kills on 14 attempts with two errors to lead the team with a .357 hitting percentage. Senior Kathryn Gawrych tied a Hawk season high with four service aces to add to the team's eight total. Senior setter Jackie Tamburri followed Gawrych with two aces while adding 33 assists to the Hawks attack.
The Hawks finished with a new three-set high in digs with 56 including two Hawks in double-digits. Nethersole led the defense with 16 digs for her 16th double-double of the season while sophomore Corinne Horanzy added 11. As a team, the Hawks finished with five blocks led by Louis and junior Chandler Goodwin who had three block assists apiece.

· Senior outside hitter Sareeta Nethersole finished with her 16th double-double this season with her 12 kills and 16 digs performance.
· As a team, the Hawks recorded 56 digs for a new three-set high for the season.
· Senior Maya Louis led all Hawks with a .357 hitting percentage on seven kills and two errors in 14 attempts.
· The Hawks tied a three- set service ace high for the season with eight on the night including Kathryn Gawrych's four which ties her for a Hawk season high with junior Alicia Tripoli.
· Freshmen outside hitter Katy Henchy is now two block assists away from taking over second all-time single season block assists with her two total on the night, giving her 62 overall.
SET BREAKDOWN
SET ONE
· Louis led the Hawk offense with four kills on eight attempts with one error for a .375 hitting percentage.
· Gawrych started the Hawks off with three service aces while finishing with three kills on six attempts with one error for a .333 hitting percentage
· Nethersole matched Gawrych in hitting percentage on two kills.
· The Hawks recorded 18 digs in the set.
· Henchy led the defense with five digs followed by Nethersole with four.
SET TWO
· The Hawks saw their best offense with a .250 hitting percentage with 12 kills on 36 attempts and three errors.
· Louis led the hitting with a .600 percentage on three kills while Henchy followed with a .429 percentage.
· At the net, Nethersole compiled five total kills on 14 attempts.
· As a team, the Hawks finished the set with a game high 21 digs.
· Gawrych added her fourth service ace of the game.

· Nethersole finished with five kills in the set while adding seven digs on defense.
· Tamburri added 12 assists and one service ace to the Hawks attack while adding three digs on defense.
· The Hawks saw their best defense at the net with three total blocks on six block assists.
