The University of Hartford softball team was defeated by UConn on Wednesday afternoon, 16-0.
Jenice Aloyo had the lone hit of the day for the Hawks.

Jill Stockley pitched four shutout innings to collect the win for the Huskies, while Alyssa Gardea went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead the UConn offense.
Lexi Wilkerson was credited with the loss for Hartford.

Hartford faces a three-game conference series against Maine this weekend. Saturday's doubleheader against the Black Bears will start at noon, as the team hosts Hartford Hawks Hits for Hope, raising donations for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Arley Picard, the Hawks' Team IMPACT member. In addition to raising money through direct donations, the team will be wearing "Team Arley Picard" wristbands during the game. Additional wristbands will be available for the public to purchase at the game for $5. Both youth and adult sizes will be available.
