Box Score WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford volleyball came up short in its fourth America East match of the season, dropping a 3-0 decision to UAlbany on Sunday evening inside the Hartford Volleyball Gym.

Jenna Bridges registered a team-high 10 kills for the Hawks, who dip to 8-8 overall and 1-3 in the America East. It is the 13th straight match that Bridges has recorded double-digit kills. Led by a 13-kill effort from Akuabata Okenwa, the Great Dances improve to 9-8 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
UALBANY 3, HARTFORD 0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-18)
- SET ONE: Tied at seven, UAlbany went on an 8-3 run to take a 15-10 lead, forcing a Hartford timeout. After the timeout, the Hawks closed within three (13-16) in a stretch that was highlighted by kills from Paulina Modestow and Abby Nash, but they could not close the gap anymore as the Great Danes took the opening set, 25-19.
- SET TWO: Down five (19-24), Hartford put on a late surge to move within two (24-22) on a run that was capped off by a huge block from Brittany Braun and Modestow. UAlbany however, disrupted the run with a timeout and finished off the set with a block of its own from Grace Cozad and Courtney O'Connell for the 25-22 win.
- SET THREE: Despite trailing by nine midway through the set (18-9), the Hawks battled back to cut the deficit to three, using an 8-2 run to make the score 20-17. The Great Danes, however, regained control of the set and closed out the match with a 25-18 victory for their third conference win of the season.
- NOTES & HIGHLIGHTS: Freshman libero Alex Lucero finished with a match-high 11 digs, while sophomore setter Megan Anderson dished out 25 assists … Bridges (3), Anderson (2) and Braun (2) combined for seven blocks to pace the defense … Andersen Vaughan had a match-high 34 assists for UAlbany while Nicole Otero compiled 10 digs … Okenwa led all player with four blocks.
