After the All-Conference awards were handed out, Hartford's three seniors (Attia, Hobbs and
Mark Plousis) presented Gallagher with the America East co-Coach of the Year award.
At the conclusion of the event, the Hawks' graduating student managers (Rishi Karani, Leighton Maragh and Brandon Gomez) and their three senior student-athletes had the opportunity to reflect on their careers at Hartford before receiving senior gifts.
The Hawks enjoyed a record-breaking season in 2017-18. Picked to finish eighth in the America East after a 9-23 finish in 2016-17, Hartford made a 10-win improvement and broke the program's Division I win record by going 19-14 this past season. In addition, the Hawks went 11-5 in the America East, posting the best conference winning percentage in program history.
Hartford's success led to the program's second Division I postseason appearance, as the Hawks were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT) for the second time under Gallagher. The Hawks return each of the team's top-four scorers from this past season, including Dunne, who was one of three players to average double figures with 15.2 points per game.
