DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Hartford women's golf team concluded its first spring tournament of the season, finishing 11th at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational.
Sophomore
Madeline Adam was the top Hartford golfer in the second round, carding a five-over 77, which was a five-stroke improvement from the first round. She recorded two birdies and three bogeys for a one-over 37 over the first nine. Adam was one-over through 14 but finished the round with four consecutive bogeys. For the tournament, she placed 23rd with a 15-over 159.
Senior Laura Yeung finished the round with the most pars for any Hartford golfer, but a pair of triple bogeys over the final three holes sent her to a 13-over 85. Sophomore
Grace Farland shot a 15-over 87 in the second round with seven bogeys and four double bogeys, while sophomore
Lilly Moreau carded a 16-over 88 with three birdies, six bogeys, and three double bogeys. She added a 7-over 11 on the 17th hole.
Sophomore
Leslie Li rounded out the scoring with a 19-over 91 with a birdie, eight bogeys, three triple bogeys, and a quintuple bogey.
Hartford returns to the course, March 27 and March 28 at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.
