BLOOMFIELD – Senior Lara Yeung placed tied for third as the Hartford women's golf team finished fourth in the nine-team Hartford Hawks Invitational on the Gillette Ridge Golf Course.

Yeung was pretty consistent over the two-day event, carding a seven-over 79 on the first day, and a six-over 78 on the second day. The senior carded two birdies, five bogey's and two double bogeys in the opening round, and rebounded from a triple bogey on the second hole of the second round to post two birdies and five bogeys.  

She entered the second day tied for second place, one stroke behind the leader. However, Quinnipiac's Emily Luu shot a tournament-best one-over after carding an eight-over in round one for the victory.

After carding a nine-over over the first nine holes of the tournament, sophomore Madeline Adam shot just eight over in the final 27 holes of the tournament to place fifth overall. She had a 12-hole stretch in which she shot just one over par. Adam had five bogeys, a double bogey, and a triple bogey in the first round, and finished with two birdies, four bogeys, a double bogey, and a triple bogey in the second round.

Lilly Moreau carded a 14-over 86 in both rounds to place tied for 25th. She carded her only two birdies of the tournament on the first day and added seven bogeys, a double bogey, and two triple bogeys. Moreau finished with five bogeys, a double bogey, a triple bogey, and a quadruple bogey for her 14-over 86.

Rounding out the team scoring was Grace Farland, who carded a 15-over 177, and Leslie Li – who carded a 17-over 183. Farland had 16 bogeys, seven double bogeys, and a triple bogey, while Li carded a birdie, 12 bogeys, 10 double bogeys, and a triple bogey.

Hartford has a quick turnaround, returning to the course Monday and Tuesday at the St. John's Invitational on the St. Andrew's C.C.
