Ryan Martin announced that senior
Nicholas DiDomizio (Cheshire, Conn.), graduate student
Jake Ojert (Doylestown, Pa.) and junior Tobias Ballester (Westwood, N.J.) would serve as the team captains for the upcoming year.
"These three young men embody what it means to be a Hartford Hawk. They get the job done on the field, in the class room, and in the community. They have been recognized by their teammates and will no doubt do a great job leading this program into 2025."
DiDomizio a transfer from Jacksonville University, has played one year with the Hawks starting all 13 games last year. In his one season Nicholas registered a goal and an assist to go with 18 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.
Ojert is named a captain for the second-straight season. Jake transferred in from Ursinus College last year after he registered 43 points in 44 games over four seasons. At Hartford Ojert started all 13 games last season with 16 goals and 10 assists on the year to go with 48 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Jake was the leader in the conference for ground balls that was not in the face-off circle and was later named Hartford Male Athlete of the Year in 2024.
Tobias Ballestar is a new transfer into the team for the 2025 season. Ballestar comes from Pfeiffer University where he has 33 games played in his first two seasons. Last year Tobias scored four goals with a lone assist to go with 54 grounders and 24 caused turnovers.
The Hawks 2025 schedule has yet to be released yet, but should be available prior to January.
