WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Hartford men's cross country took part in their second meet of the season on Saturday competing in the Purple Valley Classic ending the event in 3rd place as a team with a score of 102.
Rapid Recap:
- Hartford was led by senior Riley Brutvan (Gardiner, N.Y.) who finished the 8k event in 15th at a time of 29:04.0. Freshman Owen Klein (Coventry, R.I.) was right behind Brutvan finishing in 16th at a time of 29:07.5.
- Senior Jovan Joseph (Wrentham, Mass.) was next coming in 21st place crossing the line at 30:49.6. Freshman Daren Johnson (Meriden, Conn.) and sophomore Stephen Haney (Foxborough, Mass.) rounded out the scorers in 24th and 26th place at times of 31:02.6 and 31:14.2.
- RPI won the event with a team score of 22. Charles Namiot of Williams College won the event at a time of 26:53.5.
