WENHAM, Mass. – The Hartford Cross Country team hit the road to Wenham to compete in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship hosted by Gordon College. The Hawks finished in 3rd place out of the 10 teams with a total team placement of 70.
Rapid Recap:
- Sophomore Owen Klein (Coventry, R.I.) crossed the line first for the Hawks with a time of 26:02.36, taking home 4th place overall.
- Graduate student Riley Brutvan (Gardiner, N.Y.) was not too far behind Klein, placing 9th overall with a time of 26:19.65.
- Two other Hawks finished in the 27th minute, with junior Trae McIntyre (Troy, N.Y.) and freshman Gavin Mize (Downingtown, Pa.) posting times of 26:42.69 and 26:55.53 respectively.
- The fifth and final posted time for the Hawks came from sophomore Daren Johnson (Meriden, Conn.) who placed 25th overall with a time of 27:24.51.
- Roger Williams took home first place with Wentworth Institute of Technology and Hartford following up in second and third.
