WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Hawks men's indoor track & field competed in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday as well as the NYU Division III Invitational on Saturday.
Top Results from David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University:
- Sophomore Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.) had a strong showing placing fifth overall in the 200m Dash with a time of 21.873.This earned Hergott the second all-time mark for Hartford in this competition.
- Freshman Aiden Quee (Springfield, Mass.) finished the 400m Dash with a time of 50.63 that earned the eighth all-time mark for Hartford.
- Freshman Nick Brisson (Williamsburg, Mass.) had a big showing in the competition with a time of 1:59.30 in the 800m Race, claiming the tenth all-time mark for the Valentine Invitational.
Top Results from NYU DIII Invitational:
- Senior Conor Convery (Port Jervis, N.Y.) broke the school record for he weight throw at a distance of 16.87 meters for a 3rd place finish in the event.
- Sophomore Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.) placed eighth overall with Saturday's performance in the 60m race ending with an overall time of 7.18. Hergott also had a big day from the long jump line claiming first place with a distance of 7.18m to dominate this event.
- Sophomore Bryce Foster (Manchester, N.H.) competed strongly in the 60m hurdles, nabbing ninth overall with a final time of 8.82.
- Senior Riley Brutvan (Gardiner, N.Y.) was solid on the track today earning eighth place overall in the 3000m with a time of 8:51.70.
- Freshman Owen Klein (Coventry, R.I.) finished right behind Brutvan in the 3000m finishing in ninth place with a time of 8:51.73.
- Senior Joseph Lothamer (Newburgh, Ind.) soared in the pole vault event clearing an impressive 4.15m earning him second place overall this Saturday.
- Sophomore Thomas Yonkers (Farmington, Conn.) cleared 3.85m in pole vault earning a top 10 placement at seventh overall.
- Sophomore Will Pavlinsky (New Milford, Conn.) launched the shot-put 13.83m to bring him to fourth place.
- Freshman Aidan Lybarger (South Burlington, Vt.) landed his shot put just behind Pavlinsky at 13.81m to earn him the fifth place title.

"Even with the recent weather completely stopping us from using our track, our team still managed to hit 16 personal records during the meet, with many more season's bests", said sophomore
Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.). "We all have a strong desire to win and it's showing with how we're stepping up even though the conditions are making it hard."
