FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. The Hawks journeyed down south to partake in the Spring Break Invitational hosted by Sacred Heart University at Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Fleming, Fla. The Hawks finished the tournament placing ninth place out of nine teams in what would be their spring season opener.
Rapid Recap:
- Groups opened play Wednesday in the sunshine state and play would continue over two rounds into Thursday. The Hawks would finish with an overall team score of 659 between the two rounds, with a first round score of 327 and a day two score of 332.
- Freshman Natahan Tallinder (Madison, N.J.) led the Hawks in scoring, shooting an 82 in the first round and a 76 in round two for a combined score of 158 (+14). He would place T28 overall.
- Senior John Guerrera (Farmington, Conn.) and freshman Ethan Archibald (Heath, Texas) both placed T48, each shooting a 167 respectively (+23).
- Rounding out the scoring for the hawks seniors Jack Ritchie-Roux (Capetown, South Africa) and Kyle St. Pierre (Shelton, Conn.) finished T56 with an overall score of 171 through both rounds.
By The Numbers:
- Sacred Heart would finish with the best overall team score, as well as the best individual score as Ethan Phillips would finish his two rounds with a score of 142 (-2).
- Three of the five Hawks competing finished in the top 50 of all competitors.
- Tallinder jumped 14 spots between round one and two,

Hartford will once again hit the road, this time it will be in Williamsburg,VA as they will compete in the Ruckus which will be hosted by the Hawks on Mar. 22-23.
