Ledwick Earns Second CNE Defensive Player of the Week Award

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Conference of New England (CNE) named Hawks goalie and sophomore CJ Ledwick (Falmouth, Mass.) as the men's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

Ledwick was dominant in net for the Hawks across two games this past week, allowing just  four goals across Hartford's two Conference of New England games. Ledwick played for the full sixty minutes in Hartford's 7-3 win over Curry College on April 2nd, recording seven saves.

On Saturday, April 5th, Ledwick earned his fifth win of the season, making five saves across 48 minutes of game time in Hartford's 13-3 routing of Gordon College, improving to 3-1 in CNE play, and third in the conference.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III Athletic Conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
