BOSTON, Mass. - On Sunday, the University of Hartford men's indoor track & field team competed in the NCAA Division III New England Championship in Boston the TRACK at new balance. The Hawks would place in 26th out of 30 scoring teams.
Rapid Recap:
- Freshman Jason Edmund (Brooklyn, N.Y.) put on a show in the 60 meter dash, breaking the school record at 6.91 seconds in the prelims to clinch a spot to claim points. In the finals Edmund would end in 7th place at a time of 6.94 seconds.
- In the weight throw sophomore Aidan Lybarger (South Burlington, Vt.) would finish in 14th at a distance of 15.40 meters, while junior William Pavlinsky (New Milford, Conn.) came in 18th hitting 14.62 meters. In shot put Pavlinsky ended in 13th at 13.98 meters.
- In men's long jump freshman Julius Lowe-Wannamaker (Springfield, Mass.) came in 20th at a distance of 6.22 meters.
- The men's 4x800 meter relay team place in 11th at a time of 8:06.02.

Up Next:
The Hawks will wait to see if anyone will be headed to nationals in Birmingham, Alabama. If they don't they will get a break before the outdoor season.
