BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its weekly lacrosse awards, with sophomore attack and midfielder Kate Zonin (North Smithfield, R.I.) being crowned Conference Player of the Week.
Zonin has been on fire for the Hawks, helping the team finish at 1-1 this week to improve to 5-4 on the season. Both on offense and defense, Zonin's name is all over the stat sheet, making a difference on both sides of the ball. On offense, she compiled 10 goals and three assists while on defense she totaled eight draw controls and caused three turnovers.
Over the course of the season, Zonin has tallied 34 goals, seven assists, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
Hartford Women's Lacrosse will be back out on the field this Tuesday, March 31st at home to face off against Curry College. First whistle is slated for 7:00 PM.
