WEST HARTFORD, CONN.- The Hartford Women's Golf Team hosted the Hartford Wampanoag Invitational. The Hawks would come in first out of five teams after one round.
Rapid Recap:
- Freshman Maris Branyan (Trumbull, Conn.) would take home individual first place and lead the way for the Hawks shooting a 79.
- Senior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) would come in fourth place for Hartford, shooting a 91.
- Sophomore Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) would come tied for 8th place with a score of 94.
- Graduate student Tessa Susco (Plainville, Conn.), freshman Lilly Sprister (Rutland, Mass.), and junior Abigail Crabtree (Bellport, N.Y.) would all tie for 10th place, each shooting a 95.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Hawks would finish with two birdies both coming from Branyan.
- Hartford would be a combined 71 over par.
