Alex Popovich Earns CNE Player of the Week Title

BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its baseball weekly awards list with junior Alex Popovich (Dudley, Mass.) being named CNE Player of the Week.

Alex gave the Hawks a successful week with three wins and one tie. On Tuesday, the Hawks finished the day at an even 12-12 against Eastern, Popovich himself, finished the day going 4-5 with three RBIs and a double. It was clicking at the plate for Alex, he averaged .692, totaling eight RBIs and five doubles.

Hartford baseball continues action tomorrow, Tuesday April 7th as they play Wentworth Institute of Technology at home with a start time of 3:00 P.M.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III Athletic Conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
