Before Hartford: A four year member of the track and field team at Shenedehowa High School … twice crowned the outdoor pole vault champion in the freshman/sophomore championships in 2007 and 2008 … earned fourth place in the pole vault at the Suburban Indoor Council Championship as a sophomore in 2008 … placed fifth in the pole vault at the Class A Section II Indoor Championships on two occasions (2008 and 2009) … placed third in the pole vault at the Suburban Outdoor Council Championship as a sophomore in 2008 and took home second place honors the following season (2009) … as a senior, garnered second place at the Class A Section II Championships in 2010 … recipient of the Fabulous Frosh Award in 2007 … earned the 100 Percent Award in 2009 … qualified for the 2010 Indoor NYSPHSAA State Championship in the pole vault as a senior … high school team captured Class A Section II Championships during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2007 … indoor team placed second while the outdoor team captured first place at the Class A Section II Championships in 2008 … in 2009, high school indoor and outdoor teams placed second at the Class A Section II Championships … during his senior year, high school team placed second at the Class A Section II Indoor Championships and won the Class A Section II Outdoor Championships … high school pole vault PR for both seasons is 13’ … also played four years of high school soccer.
