AT HARTFORD
2026: After missing the entirety of her freshman season Edwards would play a huge role for the Hawks in 2026 starting 36 games and appearing in 37. Alyssa had a breakout sophomore season with a .372/.429/.717 (AVG/SLG/OBP) slash line tying a program-record with nine homers. She added 12 doubles, 34 RBIs and 23 runs scored with a OPS of 1.146. Defensively, Edwards had 22 putouts and 48 assists. Edwards would debut in style going 4-for-7 in her first collegiate series on March 8th at Framingham State Unversity with her first collegiate homer three RBIs, a double and two runs scored. After the series Alyssa would be named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Top Performer of the Week. In her next game Edwards would help the Hawks complete the comeback against Nebraska Wesleyan University launching a grand slam as Hartford would win 10-9. Alyssa's best game of the season would come in the biggest moment as in the CNE Playoffs against Johnson & Wales University, Edwards would go 3-for-3 with the second three home run game in program history to go with five RBIs and four runs as the Hawks came back to beat the Wildcats and advance to the CNE Semifinals. Edwards would later be named the Hartford Female Comeback Player of the Year in 2025-26. She was also a CNE All-Conference 2nd Team selection.

2025: Alyssa did not make an appearance in her freshman season due to injury.

Prior to Hartford: Graduate of Stoughton High School, where she was a 2x captain, Boston Globe Softball All-Star Second Team Member (2022), and Softball Hockomock League All-Star (2022 & 2023).
