  • A four-year standout for the Hartford Soccer team.
  • Also played for three years on the tennis team and two years with the basketball squad.
  • Earned All-New England honors as a senior in 1963.
  • Served as a team co-captain for three years in soccer and as a junior, led the team to nine wins and the Atlantic Coast Regional Championship.
  • Led his team in scoring as a freshman with 10 goals, earning team MVP honors.
  • Also set a school record in basketball with 10 assists in a game in 1961.
  • Earned the Letterman's Athlete of the Year Award as a sophomore - the award is based on high scholarship, athletic ability, sportsmanship and participation in at least two sports.
  • Played semi-professional soccer in Iran, as well as the U.S., until age 40.
  • Coached youth soccer for several years and remains passionate and involved with the sport.
