  • Hit over .300 threes of his four years, including an a.408 as a junior.
  • Described as "pint-sized," hard-hitting, fleet-floated left hander.  
  • Possessed all the qualities of a great player: a strong arm, good batting eye, speed, and a great deal of diamond agility.
  • A team captain in 1950.
  • An involved student-athlete, was a member of the Kappa Mu fraternity, the Varsity Club and the Newman Club. 
  • Also excelled academically, earning Dean's List status.
