COMPLETE MAAC RELEASE
West Hartford, CT – Six University of Hartford women's golfers were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team after earning a combined grade point average between 3.20 and 4.00 over the previous two semesters. The six Hartford golfers were the most from any school named to the women's All-Academic Teams.
To be eligible a golfer must be of at least sophomore standing, having completed at least two semesters academically at the institution and hold at least a minimum of a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
Of the Hawks six honorees, all four members of the senior class earned the All-Academic distinction. Catie Dillman (Cicero, NY), Paige Gauthier (Claremont, NH), Sadie Heald (New Haven, CT) and Kara Sikorski (Hatfield, MA) all scored the academic honor in their final year of eligibility. Heald and Gauthier participated in their final events as Hawks at the MAAC Championship, while Dillman and Sikorski played in their final event in the dual match against CCSU.
A pair of sophomores rounded out the final two Hartford honors with Marissa Kallaugher and Emily Linn earning the All-Academic distinction.
The Hawks highest grade point average was Heald with a 3.91, the third highest among all 18 women's honorees. Heald will graduate in May with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.
