BLOOMFIELD, CONN. - The Hartford women's golf team hosted the Hartford Wintonbury Hills Invitational on Monday April 6th, in which the Hawks would take home first out of five teams in a one round event. 

Rapid Recap:

• Freshman Maris Branyan (Trumbull, Conn.) would lead the way for Hartford placing first place overall, shooting an 80 in her only round. 
• Graduate Student Tessa Susco (Plainville, Conn.) would be next for the Hawks coming in tied for third place with a 89 on the day. 
• Senior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn) would place 5th overall with a score of 90 in the solo round.
• Freshman Leah Petruzzi (Southington, Conn.) and senior Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.), who scored as an independent for Hartford, would both tie for 6th with a score of 91. 
• Freshman Lilly Sprister (Rutland, Mass.) and sophomore Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) would tie for ninth place with a score of 93. 

Inside the Numbers:

• The Hawks would finish with three birdies on the day.
• Hartford would win by a 49 stroke margin 
• The Hawks would post 353 strokes total for +73 over par.
