In game one, Stony Brook notched 12 hits against senior Siera Sheehan and jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the bottom of the second using three singles to plate the runs. The Seawolves added another run in the bottom of the third on an RBI single by Shayla Gosia and a lead-off home run in the bottom of the fifth made it a 4-0 game in favor of the home team.

In the nightcap, Hartford grabbed a 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the first when Andrews crossed home plate on a steal by junior Kate Wacyk. Andrews led off the game with a double and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Shannon Simpkins.

Hartford shut down Stony Brook for three innings before Nicole Hagerty drew a two-out walk and Lauren Kamachi gave the Seawolves the lead at 2-1 with a home run. Another home run in the bottom of the sixth provided the 3-1 cushion as Jessica Combs blasted one over the left field fence.
