Hartford Softball Ranks #2 in Division III in Team GPA While 20 Hawks Named Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - On Wednesday, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2025-26 Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors and its Easton Top 10 GPAs. To be named a NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete the student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year. Overall 8,852 collegiate student-athletes were featured as All-America Scholar Athletes.

Hartford would have a program-record 20 All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 season which tops last season when the Hawks had 19. Hartford softball was also featured in the NCAA Division III Top GPAs ranking #2 in the country with a 3.818 team grade-point average for the 2025-26 year. 

"I'm really proud that our team was recognized as having one of the top GPAs in all of Division III", said head coach Mairin Dudek. "They worked hard on the field, but they also understood the importance of working hard in the classroom. It's great to see their effort and dedication pay off, and they should all be proud of what they've accomplished together."

During Dudek's tenure the Hawks have featured three times overall in the Top 10 GPAs with the last time coming in 2022 when they ranked 4th in NCAA Division I. 

The Hawks earning Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors were freshman Alina Weaver (Nazareth, Pa.), sophomore Katrina Baran (Townsend, Del.), senior Lauren Ackerman (North Branford, Conn.), senior Taylor Fitch (Andover, Conn.), junior Hailey Pruett (Nottingham, N.H.), sophomore Eryn Coyle (Monroe, N.Y.), senior Gia Miccio (Bellmore, N.Y.), freshman Ariana Hernandez (Fair Lawn, N.J.), junior Sydney Matz (Ellington, Conn.), senior Carly Mayhood, Newton, N.J.), freshman Gillian Ulrich (West Nyack, N.Y.), junior Adelie Beebe (Sacramento, Calif.), sophomore Ella Zobel (Clarence, N.Y.), sophomore Lucy Lembo (Albany, N.Y.), senior Anita Farkash (Seaford, N.Y.), freshman Demetra Stamboulos (Leonia, N.J.), junior Bridget Bernard (North Andover, Mass.), sophomore Holly Myers (Erving, Mass.), sophomore Alyssa Edwards (Stoughton, Mass.) and junior Gracie Hopkins (El Dorado Hills, Calif.).

The Hawks finished 2026 with a 21-20 and a 11-9 Conference of New England (CNE) record.

Established in 1983, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play. Although collegiate coaches comprised the majority of the organization's membership in the early days, today they are joined by high school, travel ball, professional and international coaches, along with umpires, clubs, companies and fans of fastpitch softball.
