BOSTON, Mass.—The University of Hartford men's tennis team finished off the 2013 regular season on the road Sunday at Boston University. The Hawks fell to the Terriers in the regular season finale by a 7-0 count.
Playing in the No. 3 singles position, freshman
Nicholas Sharwarko won five games over the course of his two-set match before dropping a 6-1, 6-4 result. Senior
Edgardo Ureta also posted five total games at the No. 6 slot, also falling by a 6-1, 6-4 score.
Boston University jumped out to the early lead with a doubles sweep, earning the doubles point before heading into singles play. The Terriers then went on to sweep the singles points to take the 7-0 win.
The Hawks now prepare for postseason play as they head into the America East Conference Championship tournament. Hartford will play in the tournament starting April 26 in Catonsville, Md.
