DANBURY, Conn. - The Hartford men's tennis team ended the 2026 season on Monday defeating West Conn by a 5-2 final.

- The Hawks would take the doubles competition winning #1 and #2 doubles to take the first point. In number #1 doubles freshman Max Poss (South Orange, N.J.) and sophomore Jake Short (Poughquag, N.Y.) would start it off with a 6-3 win. Sophomore Anthony Pomares (Norwich, N.Y.) and freshman Yande Simunyola (Dawsonville, Ga.) would roll in #2 doubles winning 6-1 to clinch the point.
- Hartford would win #2 singles - #5 singles to pick up four additional points en route to the 5-2 win. Simunyola started it off in #2 singles winning 6-1, 6-0. Short followed with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory. Pomares would pick up a comeback victory in #4 singles winning 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Jared DeGruttola (Auburn, Mass.) closed out the scorers for Hartford winning #5 singles by a 6-1, 6-2 margin.
