The University of Hartford men's and women's tennis teams opened their 2016 spring seasons with 7-0 defeats at the hands of Colgate on Saturday afternoon.

"Regardless of the score, we played well today," head coach
Torr Terranova said. "Colgate is just a great team all around. We got great results in doubles. The men always fight and have great attitudes across the board. The women made strides in terms of setting a baseline for what the spring can look like. We hope to learn from this going forward."

On the men's side, a 7-6 win for Colgate at No. 2 doubles over Dan Rombola/
