The University of Hartford men's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision at UAlbany on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Great Danes struck first, as Daniel Krutzen capitalized on a free position kick from 25 yards out, past the diving Jimmy Slayton.
- Hartford's best opportunity would come in the 58th minute when Rasmus Karlsson sent the Hawks only shot on goal toward the net but was saved by Danny Vitiello.
- The Hawks wouldn't go out without a fight. Alexis Triadis sent in a pair of corner kicks into play in the 89th minute, but Hartford was unable to convert on the opportunities.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS & NOTES:
- Albany outshot Hartford (13-5), and the Great Danes held the advantage in corner kicks (6-3).
