Men's soccer begins a two-game homestand on Saturday, as Hartford hosts UNH during Hawktober Weekend. Kickoff between the Hawks and Wildcats is slated for 4 p.m. from Al-Marzook Field.
HARTFORD QUICK HITS
- Hartford dropped a 1-0 decision in overtime to UMBC last Saturday after junior goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton made four impressive saves in regulation play.
- The Hawks topped reigning America East Champion, UAlbany, on Saturday, Sept. 29, with a final score of 1-0.Â
- Senior Xahne Reid leads the Hawks' offense in every offensive category, tallying nine points on three goals and three assists while adding 35 shots and 15 shots on goal.Â
- Reid was ranked among the top 50 Division I men's soccer players in New England last Friday by the New England Soccer Journal.
- Rookie Sergi Martinez follows Reid with six points on the season on two goals and two assists.

- The Wildcats are off to a 2-2 start in conference play with an overall record of 8-3-1.Â
- Most recently, UNH dropped a 1-0 decision to first-place Stony Brook last Saturday.
- In 2017, the Wildcats went 4-2-1 in America East play and 13-4-5 overall. UNH defeated Stony Brook with a 1-0 shutout in the AE Quarterfinals before dropping a 2-1 decision to UMass Lowell in the AE Semifinals.Â
