FIRST KICK
Hartford women's soccer heads to Durham, N.H., on Sunday for a pivotal America East matchup against the New Hampshire Wildcats. Kickoff from Wildcat Stadium is set for 2 p.m.
Â
A win on Sunday would clinch at least a share of the America East Regular-Season Championship, which would be the Hawks' fourth regular-season title in the past five years. Hartford, which punched its ticket to the postseason last weekend, can finish anywhere between first and third in the league standings.
Â
HARTFORD QUICK HITS
- The Hawks saw their longest undefeated streak since 2011 come to an end on Thursday, as they dropped a 2-1 overtime decision at Stony Brook. Prior to the defeat, Hartford was unbeaten in its past 12 games, going 10-0-2 in that stretch.
- Despite the defeat, the Hawks secured a home game in the America East Championship and can finish either first, second or third in the standings.Â
- Behind a balanced attack featuring 11 different goal scorers — including three that rank in the league's top-10 — Hartford leads the America East and in goals (2.44 per game), assists (2.06 per game) and points (6.94 per game). In addition, the Hawks are ranked ninth in the nation in both assists and goals, while their scoring offense is the 11th-best in NCAA Division I.
- The Hawks' 39 goals and 111 points this season are the most since 2002, when the squad tallied 49 goals and 148 points.Â
- The defense has also been solid this season, as Hartford leads the league with a 0.97 goals-against average.
- The winningest coach in Hartford women's soccer history with 137 victories, John Natale is currently in his 15th season at the helm of the Hawks.
Â
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIREÂ
- The Wildcats clinched a playoff berth on Thursday after clawing back to score a 2-1, overtime win at Binghamton.
- Ally Reynolds, who provided the heroics for UNH on Thursday in the 102nd minute, leads the Wildcats with nine points. Three of her team-best four goals are game-winning tallies.
- Tied with UAlbany for fifth with 10 points, UNH can finish as high as third in the league standings.
Â

Â
LAST TIME OUT: STONY BROOK 2, HARTFORD 1
- Hartford fell in overtime at Stony Brook on Thursday, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Seawolves.
