Box Score BURLINGTON, Vt. – Hartford men's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision to conference foe Vermont on Saturday. The Hawks move to 1-2 in the America East (1-7-4), while the Catamounts move to 2-1 (8-4-0).

- Rookie Sergi Martinez scored his second goal of the season to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.Â
- Vermont's Geo Alves answered five minutes later to even the score in the 28th minute.
- The game remained tied until the 87th minute when Justin Freitas scored on a header to put the Catamounts up 2-1.Â
- Senior Xahne Reid led the Hawks' offense in shots with two between the posts.
- Junior Jimmy Slayton matched his career high of 10 single-game saves. The last time he had 10 saves on a single match was at Vermont in 2016.
