FIRST KICK
The Hawks will face reigning Big Ten Champion, Wisconsin, on Monday, Aug. 27. First kick is set for 7 p.m. (8 p.m. EST) from McClimon Track/Soccer Complex.
HARTFORD QUICK HITS
- Hartford's offense returns seven of its nine goal scorers from last season, including Rasmus Karlsson, who is fresh off an America East All-Rookie campaign, and sophomore forward Nyrik Antoine.
- Karlsson tallied five points after contributing a pair of goals and an assist while Antoine added four points on two goals.
- Head coach Tom Poitras, who enters his eighth season at the helm of the Hawks, also returns junior goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton, who led the America East with 67 saves in 2017. He tallied a 1.22 goals-against average and .753 save percentage.
SCOUTING WISCONSIN
- The Badgers, who captured the Big Ten Tournament title a year ago, went 12-5-5 in 2017.
- Wisconsin reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament last year and finished the season ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches season-ending poll.
