Box Score WORCESTER, MASS. – Hartford men's soccer tied Holy Cross, 2-2, in double overtime on Saturday. The Hawks move to 0-4-3 with the draw, while the Crusaders move to 0-2-3 for the season.
HARTFORD 2, HOLY CROSS 2
- In the 31st minute, rookie Kamer Nuhiu scored his first career goal to put Hartford on the board. With an assist from senior Xahne Reid, Nuhiu scored on a scissor kick from inside the box.
- Less than a minute after the Hawks scored, the Crusaders tied the game with a goal by Simon Becher.
- Holy Cross scored on a header in the 51st minute for a 2-1 advantage.
- Reid shot the equalizer for Hartford in the 61st minute with an assist from sophomore Rasmus Karlsson.
- Hartford led the Holy Cross in shots, recording 13 on the game to the Crusaders' nine.
- Karlsson and Reid led the offense with five shots apiece.
- Senior Jimmy Slayton recorded five saves between the posts for the Hawks.
