Box Score WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Hartford men's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision to Monmouth on Tuesday. Hartford moves to 0-5-3 with the defeat, while the Monmouth Hawks move to 2-4-1.
MONMOUTH 2, HARTFORD 1
- In the 36th minute, redshirt-freshman Jordan Koduah scored his first career goal to give Hartford a 1-0 lead. With assists from rookie Connor Aksoz and senior Xahne Reid, Koduah headed the goal in from eight yards out.
- In the 67th minute, Monmouth's Michael Neff found the back of the net on a cross to even the score.
- In the 88th minute, Santo Arena scored the eventual game-winning goal from 45 yards out.
- Hartford nearly doubled Monmouth's shot attempts with a 13-7 advantage on the game.
- Reid and sophomore Rasmus Karlsson led Hartford's offense with three shots apiece.
