A captain, he has become a staple in the midfield making the start in every game he appeared in this season. As a defensive midfield, he helped the team record nine shutouts on the year.
A native of Lerum, Sweden, Karlsson receives All-Conference distinction for the second time in his career, as he previously earned All-Rookie Team distinction in 2017. The junior netted the game winner against UAlbany and added two more goals on the year to bring his total to three. In addition to his goal scoring, he has dished out two assists.
Knights-Browne has started 15 of the 18 matches in which he has appeared in as a rookie. The midfielder, who joined the Hawks from North York, Ontario, scored the game winning goal against Brown, to give Hartford its first win of the season.
A defender from Gijon, Spain, Elena has made starts in all 18 games this season and has contributed to nine shutouts. The All-Academic Team honor is the first conference accolade for the senior.
