LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Sophomore Maria Loza became the second player in program history to win an individual conference championship, leading the Hartford women's golf team to a tie for fifth place finish at the MAAC Championship.
 


TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS

• Loza overcame a three-stroke deficit on the final day to capture the individual title
• She finished the weekend, carding a 10-over 226 with a low round of two-over 74 on day two
• The Hawks combined for a team score of 994 (+130) to tie with Niagra for fifth place
• Sophomore Brooke MacKinnon was the second finisher for Hartford, finishing in a tie for 16th place (27-over 243)
• Junior Caitlin Maralack (31st) and freshman Isabelle Premkumar (40th) were the next two scorers for the Hawks, recording a 43-over 259 and 55-over 271 respectively
• Rounding out the scoring for Hartford was sophomore Allie Tully (57-over 273) in 41st place
• UAlbany took home the team title, finishing the three-day event with a 23-over 927, securing a four-stroke victory over Datton
