WORCESTER, Mass. – Hartford softball plays its final non-conference doubleheader against Holy Cross on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
  • Hartford enters the midweek matchup after falling to Fairfield on Sunday, 4-0
  • Sophomore Danielle Rocheleau registered her 100th career hit against the Stags with a double in the first inning
  • Rocheleau's 62 hits leads the America East, while she is tied for fourth in the conference in RBI with 33
  • Classmate Nicolette Barranger has also re-written the record book, tallying a program-best seven triples this season
  • Barranger holds the top spot in the category in the conference and is tied for fourth in Division 1
  • Hartford continues to be one of the top defensive teams in the America East this season, registering a .966 fielding percentage, which ranks second in the America East

HOLY CROSS SCOUT
  • Losers of four of its last five games, Holy Cross hosts the Hawks with a record of 10-34
  • Senior infielder Taylor Wahler leads the Crusader lineup, batting .322 with 47 hits and a .333 OBP
  • Freshman Kelly Nelson anchors the Holy Cross pitching staff, registering a 2.60 ERA with a team-high six wins
  • Nelson also lead the Crusaders in strikeouts, tallying 184 punchouts in 167 innings of work  

SERIES HISTORY
  • Wednesday's game will be the 34th meeting between Holy Cross and Hartford, with the Hawks holding a 22-10 advantage
  • Hartford scored its last victory against the Crusaders in 2018, topping Holy Cross, 5-3
