DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Hartford women's golf team opened its spring season on a with a fourth place finish at the Lonnie Barton Invitational. Junior Maria Loza led the Hawks, shooting 153 over two rounds for a 10th place finish.

TOURNAMENT NOTES & HARTFORD HIGHLIGHTS

• Loza, who entered Tuesday's round outside of the top-10 after carding a 79, closed strong and finished with a two-round score of 153 (79-74; +10)
• Her performance marks the fifth time in as many events that she leads the Hawks
• Junior Brooke MacKinnon made it two top-14 finishers for Hartford, as she tied for 14th with a season-best 156 (80-76; +13)
• Lara Yeung snuck into the top-20, as she combined for a two-round score of 159 (81-78; +16) to tie for 20th
• Senior Caitlin Maralack finished within the top-30 (t-29th) with a 162 (84-78; +19)
• Hannah Drew finished within the top-40 (t-39th) with a 164 (82-82; +21)
• Tagon Devoe and Isabelle Premkumar rounded out the Hawks' scoring, shooting a 170 (90-80; +27) and 177 (89-88; +34) respectively
• Fairleigh Dickinson's Tomita Arejola took home the individual title after shooting a 145 (75-70; -2)
