Petr Stepanyants | Men's Basketball | Moscow, Russia
Petr Stepanyants will be graduating early after spending three seasons with the men's basketball team. Logging time in 16 games, he is one of only two players in program history to contribute to three consecutive winning seasons in Hartford's Division I history. Stepanyants also helped lead the Hawks to the title game of the America East Playoffs for the first time since 2008.
A biology major who posted a 4.0 grade point average this past fall, Stepanyants was an NABC Honors Court recipient in 2019 and an America East's Elite 18 Team honoree in March.

The trip to Jamaica with the men's basketball team.
What was your favorite Hartford Athletics event that you attended as a fan, and why?
Women's soccer's America East Tournament game, because I have friends on that team and I cheered them on.
What lessons will you take from your time at the University of Hartford?
The smaller the detail, the greater the value.
Do you have a favorite photo from your time as a student-athlete at the University of Hartford?
The COVID-19 pandemic caused the abrupt end to winter and spring sports for the 2019-20 academic year, as well as the cancelation of several end-of-the-year activities for all student-athletes. The University of Hartford Department of Athletics would like the opportunity to thank our seniors for their dedication through their chosen sport. As a result, HartfordHawks.com will be posting Senior Salutes for each senior throughout the coming weeks.
