NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Freshman
Madeline Adam paced the Hartford women's golf team at the Yale Invitational, held at Yale Golf Course. The rookie finished in 49th place after the three-round event, as the Hawks finished 11th overall.

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Adam turned in three consecutive rounds of 80 to finish with a 27-over 240, marking a career-best three-round score
- It marked the second time in as many tournaments that she has paced Hartford
- Classmate Grace Farland, who carded a 9-over 79 in Sunday's final round, tied for 52nd after posting a 33-over 246
- Her 246 marked a career-low score
- Rookie Leslie Li (56th place), freshman Lilly Moreau (57th place) and junior Hannah Drew (58th) turned in Hartford's third, fourth and fifth lowest scores
- Li, who competed as an individual, carded a 42-over 255
- Boston College won the tournament with an 866, which was a 14 over
- Nathalie Irlbacher finished seven strokes under with a 206 to win the tournament's individual title

The Hawks return to action on Sunday, Oct. 17, with the Sacred Heart Invitational. Held at Great River Golf Course in Milford, Conn., the 36-hole event stretches over two days.
