The America East announced a new format for its league slate in 2021. Teams will play doubleheaders against the same opponent on back-to-back dates at the same location, wth most games set to be played on Saturday and Sunday. Due to COVID-19, the schedule is subject to change, and all games will be played in accordance with the latest guidelines from the CDC, the State of Connecticut, the University of Hartford and the America East Conference.

Continuing to follow guidance put in place during the winter season, fans will not be permitted at any home games throughout the spring. However, Hartford Athletics will continue its "Fill the Nest" initiative, which allows fans to purchase custom photo cutouts for $100 each, with all proceeds supporting the program of their choice.

The cutouts will be placed in their respective outdoor venues for the start of the spring 2021 season. Click here for more information on the Hawks' "Fill the Nest" campaign, or visit HartfordHawks.com/FillTheNest to make your gift and order your custom photo cutout today.

The Hawks kick off their 2021 campaign with back-to-back weekends at home, first taking on Binghamton (March 20-21), before welcoming conference newcomer NJIT (March 27-28) to Fiondella Field.

The month of April kicks off with 12 straight road games against three America East opponents. Hartford wil travel nearly 1,700 miles during its longest road stretch of the season, which features stops at Stony Brook (April 2-3), UMBC (April 10-11) and Maine (April 17-18). After the trio of trips, the Hawks return to West Hartford to host UAlbany (April 24-25) and UMass Lowell (May 1-2) in back-to-back weekend series.

Hartford continues its 2021 campaign with a short trip to Albany on May 8-9, as the Hawks and Great Danes square off for the second four-game set of the season. The Hawks then return to Fiondella Field to close out the home portion of their regular-season schedule with four more contests against Maine on May 15-16, before closing out the campaign with another four-game set at UMass Lowell (May 21-22).

The America East Championships will take place from Thursday, May 27, through Sunday, May 30.

Hartford got off to a 6-6 start in 2020, before the season came to an abrupt end due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Hawks' 2021 season debut on March 20 marks the program's first game in 375 days, when they took on in-state foe UConn on March 10, 2020.
