WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hartford men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the spring 2021 season. Coming off a 2019 campaign that featured a run to the title match of the America East Championship, the Hawks are slated to play six Friday matches, including three on Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium.

Due to COVID-19, the schedule is subject to change, and all games will be played in accordance with the latest guidelines from the CDC, the State of Connecticut, the University of Hartford and the America East Conference.
Continuing to follow guidance put in place during the winter season, fans will not be permitted at any home games throughout the spring. However, Hartford Athletics will continue its "Fill the Nest" initiative, which allows fans to purchase custom photo cutouts for $100 each, with all proceeds supporting the program of their choice.

The Hawks will begin their America East schedules on March 5 with a road trip to UAlbany. Following the season opener, Hartford begins the home portion of its campaign with a two straight contests on Al-Marzook Field. The Hawks first welcome Binghamton to West Hartford for their home opener on March 12, before wrapping up the brief homestand with a meeting against UMass Lowell on March 19.
The next two matches land Hartford back on the road. The Hawks kick off that stretch with a trip to New Hampshire for a rematch of the 2019 America East Championship, on March 26. Rounding out the road trip is a tilt at Binghamton (April 2).
Hartford closes out its regular-season slate on Al-Marzook Field on April 9, when it plays host to UAlbany.
The top-four teams in the America East standings will qualify for the America East Championship, which begins with semifinal action on Thursday, April 15. The America East Championship, which will decide the winner of the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, will be held on Saturday, April 17.
According to the America East Preseason Poll, Hartford (37 points) is projected to finish fifth in the conference. The Hawks finished three points ahead of UMass Lowell (34 points) and three points behind conference newcomer NJIT (40). New Hampshire, which collected seven of eight possible first-place votes for 63 points, is the projected to repeat as America East Champion, according to the league's head coaches.

Tom Poitras, who enters his 10th year at the helm, the Hawks are coming off an impressive 2019 campaign that featured the best turnaround in NCAA Division I. Hartford posted a 12-5-4 overall record, compiling the program's most wins since 2014. After being picked to finish last in the 2019 preseason poll, the Hawks reached the title match of the America East Championship as the No. 3 seed, where they fell short to New Hampshire.
