Men's Soccer Heads to No. 14 New Hampshire on Friday

DURHAM, N.H – The Hartford men's soccer team looks to continue its hot start to the 2021 season when it travels to Durham, N.H., to face No. 14 New Hampshire in a rematch of the 2019 America East Championship on Friday afternoon. Kickoff between the Hawks and the Wildcats is set for 3 p.m.

 
HARTFORD QUICK HITS
·       Hartford received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll
·       Opening 2021 with wins against UAlbany and Binghamton, the Hawks are looking for their first 3-0 start since 2001 on Friday
·       In its last match, Hartford outlasted Binghamton in double overtime and scored a 3-2 win on March 14
·       Junior Sergi Martinez opened the scoring for the Hawks, while sophomore Nadav Datner, who netted the equalizer in the second half, scored the game winner in the 107th minute
·       After a two-goal performance, Datner was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week (March 15)
·       The Ya'ad, Israel, native became the third Hawk to earn a conference accolade, joining Dario Cavada and Rotem Fadida, who swept the league honors in the opening week of the season

·       New Hampshire, which is coming off a 2-1 win against Stony Brook this past Friday, is undefeated to start 2021 with a 3-0-1 record overall and a 2-0-1 mark in the conference
·       The Wildcats are currently ranked No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll
·       Victor Menudier and Paul Mayer accounted for New Hampshire's scoring in its recent victory over the Seawolves
·       Menudier and Rory O'Driscoll lead the Wildcats in scoring with two goals and one assist for five points each
·       The reigning America East Champions were picked to repeat their 2019 success in the league's Preseason Poll
