LAKEWOOD, N.J. — The Hartford women's golf team opened its spring season with a fourth place finish at the Monmouth Spring Series #1, held at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Seniors
Maria Loza and
Brooke MacKinnon led the Hawks, shooting 82 for the day, tying for ninth place.

TOURNAMENT NOTES & HARTFORD HIGHLIGHTS
- Hartford finished in fourth place out of seven teams, shooting a combined 339 (+51)
- St. John's took home the win with a team score of 317 (+29)
- Hartford had three golfers finish within the top-15
- Loza birdied the fourth and 15th holes to finish with 82, securing a tie for ninth
- Despite two double bogey's in the front nine, MacKinnon closed strong with two birdies on the back nine to tie for ninth with an 82 for the day
- Sophomore Lara Yeung tied for 13th, as she shot an 84
- Isabelle Premkumar and Hannah Drew rounded out Hartford's team scoring with a 97 and 91, respectively
- Sophomore Teagan Devoe competed as an individual and finished tied for 13th after scoring an 84
- Monmouth's Elizabeth McCook took home the individual title after shooting a 76 (+4)
