KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Hartford men's soccer team landed a trio of United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team honorees, as juniors Tomer Drimmer and Sergi Martinez, as well as sophomore Nadav Datner each earned All-Northeast Region Second Team honors, the organization announced Wednesday.
 
A native of Shoham, Israel, Drimmer earns All-Region honors for the first time in his career. Playing as a defensive midfielder, he guided the Hawks to three shutouts this past season. Across his three years at Hartford, Drimmer has recorded four assists and two goals in 41 games and 34 starts. 

Martinez, a native of Barcelona, Spain, also earns All-Region honors for the first time in his career. An America East All-Second Team selection last month, the junior tallied three points on one goal and one assist. Each of Martinez's points occurred in a 3-2 win against Binghamton, where he scored the Hawks' opening goal before providing the assist on the game tying strike.
 
Datner repeats as a United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team honoree after earning All-South Central First Team honors while at Texas A&M International last season. The Ya'ad, Israel, native led the Hawks in scoring, tallying three goals and one assist for seven points in 2021. Datner also received America East All-Conference Second Team distinction last month.
 
With this year's honorees, head coach Tom Poitras has guided 15 Hawks to All-Region distinction during his 10 seasons at Hartford.
 
Last season, Hartford saw Aitor Elena ('20) and senior Rasmus Karlsson earn All-Northeast Second Team and Third Team honors, respectively.
 
Drimmer, Martinez and Datner helped lead the Hawks to the semifinals of the America East Championships this past season, where they fell to eventual champion New Hampshire, 2-0. Hartford finished the 2021 spring season with a 3-3-1 overall record.
